At Merrist Wood College, our Pet Grooming Centre provides high-quality services to members of the public at very reasonable rates.

The Pet Grooming Centre offers:

• cuts and grooming supervised by a qualified City and Guilds tutor
• full consultation with dog and owner on arrival
• a safe, clean and friendly environment
• the latest equipment
• free TLC with every trim!
• Separate grooming afternoons for our cat client only

Dog Grooming Courses

Dogs receive professional grooming as part of a supervised training programme for new students. Whether you're looking to start a new career or enhance your skills, our courses are designed to equip you with the knowledge and techniques needed to confidently groom a variety of dog breeds.

Cat Grooming

Cats receive professional grooming as part of a supervised training programme for new students. All grooming is carried out under the guidance of experienced, qualified grooming instructors to ensure both the safety of the cats and the quality of the service. Each session includes brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. If a bath is needed, it will be done with gentle, cat-safe products; for cats who prefer to stay dry, a dry shampoo alternative is available. Haircuts offered include Lion Clips (full or modified), Comb Clips, and Bolero Clips. Additional services include Professional Deshed Treatments, Tummy Trims, Sanitary Trims, Ruff Trims, Face Trims, and Toe Tuft Trims. The grooming process is designed to be calm, comfortable, and stress-free for your feline companion.
