Please bring with you:
  • Any grooming equipment you may already have
  • Pencils, pens and notepad
  • Suitable clothing, an apron (for large dog owners, this will include wellingtons).
  • Please remember your dog!
Things to do before attending the course:
  • Ensure that your dog’s vaccinations and your Tetanus protection are up to date.

Suitability Clause for Dog Participation:

To ensure the safety and comfort of all participants, dogs attending this Pampered Pooch grooming course must have coats in a condition suitable for grooming by beginners and demonstrate appropriate behaviour for a group learning environment. If a dog’s coat is excessively matted, or otherwise unsuitable for grooming, or if the dog exhibits behaviour that poses a risk to others (human or animal), the teacher reserves the right to ask the owner and dog to leave the session.

Owners are strongly encouraged to bring their dog for a coat and behaviour assessment 1–2 weeks prior to the course date to confirm suitability, at which point a refund can be offered if deemed unsuitable. This helps ensure a positive experience for all attendees.

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds will be issued only in exceptional circumstances.

Please email robyn.ashley@activatelearning.ac.uk advising which breed of dog you will be bringing along.
Please note:
  • College policy stipulates that dogs should be on leads at all times, and poop scooping is essential.
