Set in 400 acres of with woodlands, wetlands, livestock, gardens and grasslands. There are outstanding facilities for floristry, horticulture, landscaping and garden design. These include a campus nursery, workshops and design studios.
The Woodlands Centre at Merrist Wood College will provide a safe and secure learning environment for up to 64 students with severe and complex learning, social and communication difficulties and challenging behaviour that may also have a physical disability. The Centre will also cater for students who have epilepsy.
About the role
As a Learning Support Assistant at Activate Learning, you will have experience of working with young people or adults with a range of severe, complex, and moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities and/or behavioural needs.
You will be an individual who has the resilience and patience to develop independence in learners and to encourage them to take more responsibility for their own learning.
Learning Support Assistants offer essential help to teachers within the classroom, and to offer support to staff and learners within our campuses.
