A Level and T Level Teachers Wanted!

Specific roles will be advertised by the end of April, once we’ve finalised current staffing and capacity. We’ll be recruiting ahead of the summer so that you’re ready to join us in September and can have a smooth induction before then. 

Roles will be advertised on our careers page, as well as here. The best way to hear about them is to sign up to our talent pool so we can email you as soon as a role in your subject area becomes available! 

We expect to have a range of hours available depending on the location and the role, both full-time and part-time. While the specifics may differ, all roles will be within our usual hours of 8:30-17:00, with a 16:30 finish on a Friday. 

We expect to require teachers in the below subject list, but this is subject to change depending on current staffing. 

• Maths 

• Biology 

• Health and Social Care 

• Social Science/Humanities - Politics, Citizenship, Sociology, History 

• English 

• Physics 

• Business 

• Law 

If your subject isn’t listed here, don’t worry! We may still require it if circumstances change, or it may become part of the provision in a future year. Sign up here to ensure you do here from us if it is required.

We aim to have standardised awarding bodies across our campuses to ensure teachers can share resources and advice across the group, and take advantage of the expertise of existing staff. Nonetheless, if you have a reason why a specific awarding body would be more suitable we are always keen to discuss this and allow room for specific exceptions. 

At Activate Learning we’re keen to support new teachers stepping into education, and we really value the experience you will have gained in previous roles in your sector. 

As such new teachers have a comprehensive offer of support, from starting on the same day so they can learn together, through our three day induction to our 12 week ‘Introduction to Teaching, Learning, and Assessment’ program. 

We also support new teachers through a Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship while they work with us, which allows them to go on to achieve QTLS status. 

Even if you haven’t taught before, Activate Learning has opportunities to offer you! 

While we may offer sponsorship for some roles, we have to provide this on a case by case basis. It may still be worth you applying, but unfortunately we can’t guarantee any offering without information about the specifics. 

We won’t be offering online teaching as part of the A-Level and T-Level provision in Surrey, but we do have a fast growing Online Faculty!
